Farm Tour and Potluck

Hi everybody. I wanted to remind CSA members that our farm tour and potluck is scheduled for April 26th. Farm Tour is from 1 - 4. Potluck to immediately follow. Of course, the highlight of the farm tour is Cedar Valley Sustainable's operation. What is a farm without animals? Cedar Valley's operation includes cows and chickens and farm dogs.

We're glad so many people have already signed up. Let's watch the weather.

Speaking of the weather, it is cold and wet out there. Which is great. We planted peas and spinach ahead of the rain and they like the cold. Also, the ground has thawed out and will take the water. I'd like to irrigate as little as possible. Vegetables taste better when they've gotten most of their water from the sky. Of course, some species love the water, and we'll help them out. As soon as we can get back into the fields, we'll plant out kale, onions greens and potatoes.
